If you are a sky watcher, Ladakh is the place to be. Clear skies over the snow clad mountains beckon you. Sunrise and sunsets in Ladakh are an experience in itself. If you are a star gazer, you should be in Nubra Valley to count stars in a clear sky you can ever come across.
This shot of Thikse Mosnatery was taken in the morning in July 2010. The sky was cloudy but nevertheless added beauty to the lovely monastery which is also known as "Little Patola" as it resembles famed Patola Palace of Tibet.
